I capture memories.

Yes, it’s cliché. Capturing memories is what all photographers do. We are often outsiders looking in on what is happening in the world around us and, in a fraction of a second, capture what we see so that you can remember it for years to come. Some capture the beauty of nature, for others the beauty of a first kiss as husband & wife is the goal.

For me, the beauty I capture is found in the souls of teenagers that all too often may not see themselves as beautiful, smart, strong, or talented. But we know differently. My goal, is to help them see that for themselves.

Memories are often found in the artwork that hangs in your home – a finger painting on the refrigerator door from when your child was just four years old, a professionally edited portrait of your 17 year old taken just before before moving away to college, the poster in your room from when you played baseball on the championship team, or the framed photo sitting on your desk at work.

Whatever your memories, I want to be there to capture the images that will bring them back to life for generations to come.

I'm specialized

I’m not a wedding photographer or a newborn baby photographer. I don’t take real estate photos or pictures of expectant mothers. I focus my efforts on taking taking pictures and portraits of athletes and High School Seniors. Go ask your daughter if she would rather have her photos taken by somebody that usually shoots baby pictures or by somebody that has more than a decade of experience taking fashion portraits. I think we both know what the answer would be.

I never stop learning.

Photography, in its most simple form, captures the light around us, but there is so much more to that. Technology and techniques are constantly changing as is the software used for editing. I regularly attend conferences and training to learn new techniques and share my knowledge with other photographers. Because of my advanced training in natural light photography, on-camera flash, as well as off-camera flash techniques, my knowledge sets me apart from others that may only know one approach.
